- Toothache
- Pain or sensitivity in the teeth, mouth, gum or jaw region
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Facial or gum trauma or swelling
- Lost crown
- Emergency root canal therapy
- Infected or impacted wisdom teeth
- Infection or swelling
- An accident involving damage to the teeth or mouth
- A sport injury
What happens if my tooth is knocked out?
- Remain calm and find the tooth
- If the tooth is clean please place it straight back in the socket. Hold the tooth by the crown (the part you can see) and not by the root
- If the tooth is dirty please wash with milk or using your own saliva and gently clean before placing it back in the socket
- Ensure not to rub or scrape any tissue fragments from the tooth
- If it cannot be replaced then please store the tooth in milk or wrap in plastic
- Alternatively store in the owner’s mouth next to the cheek if this is a possibility
- Ensure the tooth does not dry out
- Seek immediate dental treatment as time is critical
What if a baby tooth is knocked out?
- Do not attempt to place it back in the socket. Re-implanting the knocked out baby tooth can cause issues to the developing adult tooth
- Seek immediate dental treatment to ensure any trauma to the gums or lips can be managed
